Are you passionate about the development and daily management of workflows for digital product initiatives? The Poynter Institute for Media Studies is seeking a Web Project Manager who is an expert at applying agile/scrum methodologies to coordinate the product enhancement lifecycle from concept to deployment. This position will function as the scrum master of a small and nimble web team, working in a supportive, flexible, and collaborative environment.
Poynter’s media website and other digital products are recognized industry leaders providing journalism content, and educational resources in key subject areas including leadership, ethics, fact-checking, media literacy, local news, broadcast and multimedia and a variety of modes for online learning. This role will collaborate across departments and brands based on a roadmap of product milestones to ensure the consistent flow and timely release of successful projects.
Our ideal candidate is a nimble juggler who has Wordpress, Asana, and agile/scrum experience, is undaunted by changing requirements, and is skilled at working with a diverse internal team that includes academics, producers, and journalists.
